I can't tell you how exciting it is to hear from you! I absolutely loved the book and couldn't put down my iPhone while reading it. I kept telling myself that I couldn't believe that I got it for free.

Thank you so much for the extra info and links for church leaders. I will definitely check them out soon. However, one of my elders has been reading the ebook you gave away and was so moved by it that I suspect it inspired a sermon he preached. We want a culture of connection, and your book has helped make that goal a little easier to attain.

Joseph,

Many thanks for your kind words about "Fired Up or Burned Out." I discovered your comments thanks to Google Alerts. My business and ministry partner Rev. Jason Pankau taught a four hour seminar about Connection Cultures in the church that is available at no cost. You can access it at the this link:
http://www.michaelleestallard.com/connection-cultures-in-faith-communities
It might be a better option if some of your elders are not big readers.

Just fyi, in addition to our leadership training firm, we have a ministry named Life Spring Network that helps pastors and churches develop disciples who create connection cultures which we view as a Biblical imperative as described in John 17.

Blessings and best wishes,
Michael

Thanks for commenting on my site! And sorry about the lack of posts lately. I could use the excuse that life has gotten busy lately, but that would be just an excuse. However, my inconsistent blogging habits do not reflect my writing life, which is quite vibrant. I'm writing better sermons every week (in my humble opinion), have been writing eulogies, and I'm currently working on a revising a screenplay I wrote on spec.

I will be checking out your posts soon, but with what I've seen so far, I would be honored if you guys let me write something for your readers. God Bless!

Good luck with that! I have always wanted to do something along those lines, but time is something you need for that sort of thing...and I don't have it.

I've thought similarly as I play with my daughter or watch her make silly faces. I just trust that if I raise her in Christ the best I can, He'll do the rest. I can't save her, but thank goodness Jesus can!

By the way, kudos for letting your wife take a nap! I know when my husband does that for me, it means a lot.

You are absolutely right! The reason for all of our wanderings is to forge a connection with our Creator. He is right there with us the entire way, if we are willing to look for Him.

I wonder what kind of giants await us on the other side of our writing wilderness?
